Our monthly Christchurch Game Designer Meet-Up is happening this Sunday at Meepleopolis!
This is a relaxed, welcoming space for local tabletop creators to connect, play-test games, share ideas, and get genuinely useful feedback from other designers and players. The group has built a really supportive culture where people actively help get everyone’s games to the table and explored.
You don’t need to be an experienced designer to join us. First-time creators, experienced developers, curious gamers, and play-testers are all welcome.

To our volunteers, competitors, attendees, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who came along simply to enjoy the chaos and cheer on some very determined poultry - thank you! The atmosphere today was something really special.
A massive shout out as well to Mark and the team at The Crafted Coffee Company for partnering with us and helping bring this event to life, the Climate Action Campus, Ōtautahi for their ongoing partnership and support, and the Canterbury Poultry Association who were absolutely amazing throughout the day.
We honestly didn’t expect the energy and excitement to be quite this big. Seeing families, friends, neighbours, kids, chicken enthusiasts, and curious onlookers all sharing laughs together made for a pretty magical afternoon.
And for anyone wondering, no birds were harmed in the making of this event.
Congratulations as well to Massie, the superstar of Chickenstock 2026, taking home 2 silver medals, 1 gold medal, and the coveted Best in Show title. 🏅
