A game of simultaneous action selection\, area control\, hand management\, and multi-use cards. 2-4 players\, about 15 minutes. \nAbout the Designer: DeMe Ernst is a Filipino game designer based in Auckland\, New Zealand. She continuously develops a variety of game ideas and manages several prototypes at once. \nDon't forget to register on the day for the FARMily Feud competition! \n  \nOVERLOADED \nAbout the Game: Overloaded is a two player expandable tabletop card game similar to MTG\, Flesh and Blood etc. Set in a dystopian retro futuristic world\, players are represented by their chosen “Bot”. Each card a player draws represents either a universal “Mod” card used to equip your Bot with powerful combat stats or a unique “Program” card that has a game changing one time effect themed around one of the 5 types; Attack\, Defence\, Cards\, Nexus and Load.  Manage your limited resources to play your cards and don’t get caught “Overloaded” for too long or you’ll find yourself with 0 Hit Points before your opponent! \nAbout the Designer: Khuzwane Holder is passionate about creating fantasy stories and worlds and thinks table-top games are an amazing medium to experience these worlds and tell these stories. With help from other creative friends like Hayden Cook\, Simon Boxall and James Bradley\, his crazy ideas are coming to life and making their way out his head and onto the table \n \n \n  \nMANDRAGORIUM \nAbout the Game: You are a Botanist in search of the prized Mandragora\, leafy creatures who are both sly and mischievous. Collect Mandrakes using your Insight and with various merchandise from the shop. Be swift\, and race against the fleeting harvest season. \nAbout the Designer: Elijah Lopez is an artist and game designer. He enjoys video games\, board games and most especially trading card games and even more so playing them with his family. He designs games for the fun of making systems and mechanics that are intuitive and rewarding. It's also a reason to design new characters and create new stories. \n \n \n  \n  \nDUNGEONESS \nAbout the Game: Deep within the heart of Myrvenria\, lies ruin an ancient kingdom of Magic and Prosperity. With your team of Explorers\, delve into the dungeons and uncover the secrets to their glory that lasted a millennia. You are not alone. Several other groups of explorers have arrived with their own agendas. Gather the relics together\, there’s no point in quarrelling amongst one another\, there is something sinister lurking in the darkness. \n \n \n  \nSKY'S EDGE \nAbout the Game: In this 3-6 player\, sci-fi/horror\, engine builder you are racing to colonise a planet and exploit alien relics... however the more colonists you dump out the airlock\, the faster you will accelerate and the sooner you will arrive. Do you really need that colonist? Or do you space them and arrive just ahead of your competition... \nAbout the Designer: Grant Bennett is a Canterbury local who fell into game design when doing space science outreach. He realised that while space can be really dangerous for the unprepared\, this makes it a great setting for both board games and role playing games. \n \n  \nBON APPÉTIT \nAbout the Game:Food should bring joy\, not germs! Bon Appétit is all about celebrating great food and the people who prepare and enjoy it - but food safety is the secret ingredient to every delicious meal! In this interactive card game you’ll learn how to be safe preparing and eating food\, all while having fun! \nAbout the Designer: Ying Yi is a food safety expert with 15+ years of experience in food inspection\, a Master’s degree in Consumer Food Science and also the brilliant mind behind Bon Appétit. \n \n \n  \n \nMASTER BUILDER \nAbout the Game: Race against friends to become the Master Builder. Complete jobs by blindly reaching into your tool bag and pulling out the correct tools you need. Quickest builder grabs the Golden Hammer and gets a promotion. Complete your job and you’ll still advance. Just don’t be the last to complete their job or pull out the wrong tool. \n \n  \nGARDEN RUSH \nAbout the Game: A 2-player\, family-friendly game that takes about 5 minutes to learn and 40 minutes to play. Skillfully plant veggies in your garden and harvest them in specific patterns. Use tools to help your garden flourish or to create nuisances for your opponent. Be the fastest to harvest your veggies to win! \nAbout the Designer: Ki Mansell grew up in Christchurch and works as a preschool teacher during the day and board game designer in his free time. \n \n \n  \nNO TIME'S TOO SHORT FOR SHORTS! \nAbout the Game: No Time’s Too Short For Shorts! ™ is an abstract ‘trick-taking-like card game where all of the action happens at once! Your aim is to wear shorts the most\, each and every round. Every round you succeed at this\, you win and get a point! Will you be the ‘shortiest’ player at the table? Or\, will you be forced by the others to be down-trod and up-trowed? In this game\, the shorter the leg-wear\, the better! Who will you make wear the Trousers? \nAbout the Designer: Henry Beeby-Zeier is a Christchurch based game designer.  After following through on an idea about what might happen if two games were combined he figured out that he enjoyed designing games!  This has led to him coming up with a series of concepts for board and card games\, one of which is No Time's Too Short For Shorts!!  You can find out more about Henry and his games here - preciselyeccentricgames.com \n \n \n  \nWe'll be adding to the list as we get closer to the event so remember to keep an eye out for some exciting updates through our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/Meepleopolis \nWe look forward to seeing your support for local game designers on the day!
